Los Cabos; Let your inner child play.

Check out the video for this trip, here!

Think back to the days when you were a kid on the playground; you were Tarzan on the monkey bars, the king of the castle and the troll under the bridge. Even your ordinary living room became an imagination hot spot, the furniture a sanctuary from the hot lava floors.

Everything was an adventure.

Wouldn’t it be great to recapture that feeling and to let out your inner child craving that adrenaline? Well, friends, now you can.  Los Cabos, Baja California, Mexico, has mastered and captured the spirit of the thrill seeker. They united the adventure pros and made an adult playground paradise. Here is the perfect itinerary to get the most out of your Los Cabos adventure trip.

Start in La Paz, a town known for the Malecon, a long sandy white beach lined with shops, restaurants and art galleries from local and international artists, all of which face the water. La Paz is also home to Cabo Adventures’ whale shark tour, where you can swim with the biggest fish in the world, also known as the “gentle giant of the sea”. You may even catch a glimpse of some dolphins or sea turtles, if you’re lucky. Try to go during feeding season (when the water is rich in plankton) so you can actually hang out with the whale sharks instead of trying to swim as fast as you can just to keep up with them.

Ready to go!

Next, make a stop in Cabo San Lucas, an upbeat beach town known for its nightlife, water sports and Mexican cuisine. Check out Wild Canyon Adventures, an adrenaline junkie’s dream world where you can pick from a variety of heart-racing activities including bungee jumping, sling swinging (my fave) and zip lining over a two thousand-foot-high valley of tundra. They even rent Go Pros so you can prove to your friends back at home that you really are a wild one (I believe you…).

If your heart still isn’t racing as fast as you’d like, hit up Cabo Adventures UTV tours (Utility vehicles). They’ll take you around the rugged Mexican terrain with tours comprised of five different areas within their 100-acre park.  Riding around on these took me back to the days of raising the blade and riding full throttle on my mom’s eight-speed ride-on lawnmower like a bandit on the run. What a thrill.

If fine dining, fancy dress wear, beautiful decorations and stunning scenery is your thing, head to Palmilla’s One and Only resort for a Lavender martini and/or a five-course meal. With the best Mexican wines and authentic dishes, this experience is a little more on the expensive side but is definitely worth it. They encourage relaxation by explaining each dish and wine pairing in between meals so you can truly appreciate the authentic Mexican flavours while breathing in the fine Mexican air over looking the sparkling Gulf of California.

If you’re up for some adventure and also love winding down with a great glass of wine and a stunning view, Los Cabos is for you. Beware: you will get addicted to this playground paradise.

Make sure to check out the Art Gallery District.

Tequila and lime? Try Mescal, lemon and crushed, spiced worm….
